SUR DEL LAGO (Venezuela)

Venezuela is home of legendary cocoa and unique varieties that only grow there. One of the reasons why Venezuelan cocoa is so popular is because of the abundance of Criollo beans (Which is considered one of the best cocoa in the world) and their fascinating hybrid varieties where Criollo and other types are mixed to strengthen their characteristics. 

Our farmers are distributed in different routes along the Pan-American axis of the South Zone of Lake Maracaibo as a Merida, Trujillo and Zulia.

Venezuelan cocoa are famous due to their delicate flavours, such as nuts, raisins, caramel, with very little bitterness, acidity, and astringency.
